    Pan Seared Pork Chops with Lemon Garlic Cream Sauce {Paleo, Whole30}

    Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

These Pan Seared Pork Chops with Lemon Garlic Cream Sauce are paleo and Whole30 compliant. The sauce is so flavorful and delicious and gives the best flavor to these juicy, tender pork chops! They make the perfect dinner for a date night in or a quick weeknight meal.  Either way, dinner will be on the table in less than 30 minutes and will be full of flavor.

    Ingredients Needed

    • Pork Chops
    • Avocado Oil
    • Salt & Pepper

    • Lemon
    • Garlic
    • Onion
    • Chicken Bone Broth

    • Pork Chops

    Best Pork Chops to Use

This recipe works well with two large bone in pork chops or four smaller boneless pork chops!  Butcherbox is a great option to not only get humanely raised pork, but grass-fed beef and organic, free-range chicken as well!

The only variable will be the cooking time.  More on that below and why I highly recommend a meat thermometer to ensure the pork chops are perfectly done!

How to Tell When Pork Chops are Done

Not overcooking these pork chops (and any meat, for that matter) is key in ensuring they are juicy and tender.

Cook to an internal temperature of 145 F.  I highly recommend using a meat thermometer, like this one.

Because pork chops vary greatly in size and thickness, you can not cook them based on time alone.  A meat thermometer is the best, most accurate way to ensure your pork chops are not over done.

    How to make this recipe

    1. Pat pork chops dry and generously season on both sides with salt, pepper, and thyme.
    2. Heat avocado oil in skillet on medium high heat.
    3. Add pork chops and sear on each side for 5-8 minutes depending on thickness.
    4. Cook to an internal temp of 145 F.
    5. Set pork chops aside and keep warm for 10 minutes while preparing the sauce.
    6. Add one tablespoon of avocado oil to the skillet and add onions and garlic.
    7. Cook until onions are soft.
    8. Add in lemon juice, chicken bone broth, dijon mustard and coconut cream.
    9. Mix well and bring to a boil and then reduce heat slightly.
    10. Allow sauce to simmer until thickened, approximated 3-5 minutes.
    11. Add pork back in and top with fresh thyme and lemon slices if desired.
